ménage à trois
Still doesn't explain where that scene will come from with Hiccup with his beard standing over what almost reminded me of Itchy Armpit with what looked like either Toothless or one of his grown offspring witout any sort of tack on.
Maybe there will be a reunion and Hiccup takes Toothless for one last ride bare back with his auto tail or hell maybe he ended up growing his tail fin back after all. So many open ended questions that I guess we will need to wait until the move to get answered. Maybe that is part of what isn't being shown to make us think we know how it will end.....
I mean the other thing is how is Toothless going to live with just s mechanical tail that is prone to breakage, No matter how well built it might be, it still can't last forever. Another reason why I feel Hiccup might run into Toothless sometime in the future and see he has regrown his tail fin.....maybe.........mmmmmmmm
For real though, humans have had such a god habit of destroying the environment now, I'm sure they would still do it even if dragons were a common sight as any other creature. Just takes one person with enough money and greed to destroy everything for the other 99% tha might actually care a lot.
I hope there is a reunion of some sort, but its like one of those things, I think Dean wants to make the right impact, by ripping the band aid off for good and not try to put it back on even if its onl a little bit. He wants the audience to know this is it and I could understand where that is coming from. Its like the need to follow through properly on an action if you are going to do it in the first place.
On top of that though at least according to those Amazon spoilers, apparently we might even see LightNight babies, which would be adorable, but at the same time it makes me wonder how that woud play out if it was going to be in the film for sure. How would that play out without Hiccup? It might be just part of the ending scene where Hiccup summarizes everything with him and Astrid getting married, fast forwarding into to them having their own child and than a camera pane into the Hidden World revealing Toothless standing over his waifu with babies of their own.
